How does this work?
Two new family dinner bundles (with a la carte options) and 12 meal preps are posted every Monday morning on the website, usually by 8am. The deadline to order is Friday at midnight. On Sunday, Sara will email you your approximate delivery time for Tuesday. Sara shops and prepares your food all day on Monday through early Tuesday morning, and then delivers to her customers all day on Tuesday.
When will the next menu be posted?
Menus for the following week are posted on Mondays, usually by 8am. You can check here or on our Facebook page. To make sure you don’t miss our menu posts please go to our Facebook page, click on the three dots > Follow Settings > News Feed > Favorites. This will make sure that our posts appear near the top of your news feed.
When is the deadline to order?
The Friday prior at midnight for the following week.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver for FREE to all of Frederick County, Maryland. We will try to accommodate deliveries outside of Frederick County to some select surrounding areas (see list below) for a $15 delivery fee or receive FREE delivery with a minimum $100 purchase requirement. You may enter your zip code on the Cart page to see if shipping (home delivery) is available. If you believe there is an error and you should be (or would like to be) within the delivery area, please email Sara. Current select delivery areas outside of Frederick County, MD are Hagerstown, Williamsport, Boonsboro, Funkstown, Keedysville, Damascus, Clarksburg, Dickerson, some parts of Gaithersburg and Germantown, and Lovettsville, VA.
When will I know my delivery time?
Sara will email you on Sunday with an approximate time of when she’ll be dropping off your order. Due to delivery logistics she may not be able to accommodate last minute delivery time change requests. Please allow for an hour delivery window around your designated delivery time.
We won’t be home when you deliver. What should we do?
We try to accommodate your schedule as best we can but we know it’s not always possible. Please make sure that you leave a cooler on your porch large enough to fit your order and enough ice packs to keep it cold until you get home. We are not responsible for food melting or going bad due to inadequate refrigeration.
Our plans have changed at the last minute. Can we change our delivery time?
Due to the way we plan and schedule our deliveries for speed, efficiency and to keep costs down, we’ll do our best, but we may not be able to accommodate last minute changes. Please give as much notice as possible by emailing Sara directly.
Can I pickup my order?
We’re sorry, but pickup is not an option right now since we work out of a commercial kitchen and don’t currently have a storefront.

I want to order food for a friend. Can you deliver to their home instead of mine?
Yes, just click “Ship to a different address” on the order form.
Do you have nutrition facts for family bundles?
Since we’re always updating and adapting our recipes this isn’t possible at the moment.
I don’t like blue cheese (goat cheese, those funky shaped olives, etc.). Can I get my charcuterie board without it?
Yes! We will customize your board to the best of our abilities, within reason of course. We also accommodate any food allergies. Please let us know in the Order Notes section on the Checkout page.
Are gift cards available?
Yes! You can purchase them here.
Can you apply my gift card to my purchase?
No, you must be the one to apply it before you place your order. If you want to use a gift card please enter your code where it says “Have a gift card?” on the Cart or Checkout pages.
Where can I check my gift card balance?
You can check your balance here.
Can I reload a gift card I already have?
You can do this by going to the Gift Card Balance page, entering your gift card number and click the Check Balance button. Click on the “add more funds to this gift card” button and it will take you to the page to add more money onto your current gift card. *Note: Gift cards are non-refundable.
Where do I enter my promo code?
If you have a promo code please enter it where it says “Apply Coupon” on the Cart page or “Have a coupon?” on the Checkout page.
My food came in a plastic (Tupperware, Glad, etc.) container. Can I put it in the oven?
No! If your food came in a plastic container and is supposed to be baked, please transfer it to an appropriate baking dish or pan for the oven.
Do you want your containers back?
If you want to save them for us, we will happily donate the containers to the local Girl Scouts to use for crafts. If you have a recycling program in your area we encourage that too.
Technical Issues
Why did my order fail?
The most common reason for an order to fail is that that billing address that you provided does not match what the credit card company has on file, especially zip codes. Stripe cross-references the information and if they don’t match, the transaction will fail. Please contact your credit card company to make sure they have the correct information or try using a different credit card.
Help! When I place my order it says “Error: The zip code you supplied failed validation.” What should I do?

  1. Check your spam folder.
  2. If you have Gmail, check under your Promotions or Updates tab. If it’s in there please drag the email to the Primary tab.
  3. Search your inbox for Sara Kep’s Kitchen. If you still don’t see it, please contact us.
  4. Add sara@sarakepskitchen.com and sarakepskitchen@gmail.com to your contacts so our emails land in your primary inbox in the future.
I didn’t receive a gift card in my email. What should I do?
